Job Description
IT Systems Admin & Desktop Support Engineers at Vatic Labs are the first line of defense for desktop, network, and trading technology support. You will work closely with traders, researchers, and engineers, ensuring 100% uptime for the systems that drive our global trading efforts. To be successful in this role you will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be tasked with increasing responsibilities and technical challenges. It is imperative that you have strong communication skills (verbal/written) and can effectively work through technical issues in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the 100% uptime for systems supporting trading, research, engineering, and other business units.
  • Desktop support for OSX, Windows, and Linux desktop users.
  • Deployment and support of phone and video-conferencing systems across offices.
  • Onboarding new hires, including purchasing or allocating equipment, creating accounts, setting up equipment, and introducing new users to company email, wiki, and other applications.
  • Support infrastructure in Vatic Labs offices and co-location datacenters.

Qualifications
  • MUST HAVE 1-5 years experience
  • MUST HAVE experience with OSX, Windows, and Linux
  • MUST HAVE experience in a Trading firm and/or top tech firm
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Hardware troubleshooting and upgrades
  • Solid understanding of Ethernet and TCP/IP networking
  • Basic knowledge of remote-access VPN
  • Professional communication skills

  • RHCE
  • CCNA
  • MCSE

Nice to have:
  • Linux, especially bash scripting
  • Cloud based systems
  • Python
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field
