SW Engineer II / System Administrator

Location

Hybrid — Buffalo, NY (3 days onsite / 2 days remote — mandatory, no exceptions)

Duration

12+ Month Contract (potential extension to 18 months)

Required Technical Skills

Core Infrastructure & Scripting

  • SQL
  • PowerShell and/or Linux Shell Scripting
  • Linux & Windows Server Administration
  • Active Directory

Application Lifecycle & Deployment

  • Full SDLC administration, management, and execution
  • CI/CD pipeline experience using:
    • GitLab
    • Artifactory
    • Ansible

Operations & Support

  • Daily production and user support
  • Off-hours implementations and on-call support
  • Infrastructure management (patching, server administration)

Preferred Skills

  • Agile methodology

Role Overview

Provides technical direction and solutions for new or existing applications. Acts as an application owner and systems administrator across development, testing, and production environments. Supports integrations, infrastructure maintenance, and business application operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Associate’s degree + 5 years systems analysis/application development experience

  • Combined 7 years education and/or work experience including 5 years relevant experience

  • Experience coordinating with business units
