JOB DESCRIPTION:


As a Linux Build Automation engineer your objective is to develop and implement build automation methodologies using various automation toolsets.ย 


Responsibilities include:ย 

Provide 24X7 system administration and resolve distributed server issues.ย 

Root cause analysis.ย 

Assist with maintaining compliance for industry certifications such as PCIย 

Create and maintain reports for compliance and system audit data.ย 

Participate in ongoing automation/operational projects.ย 

Provide recommendations for system automation.ย 

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise.ย 

Document issues and associated resolutions to problems.ย 

Participate in OS patch management and coordination.ย 

Develop and test Windows security patch packages.ย 

Troubleshoot Linux OS and application security patch installations.ย 

Participate in technical on-call rotation.ย 

Ongoing maintenance & administration of assigned systems.ย 

Adherence to policies, processes and procedures within your areas of responsibility.ย 

Assistance with execution of projects related to areas of responsibility.ย 


Required experience:ย 

Strong understanding of data communication concepts and network/software configuration management.ย 

Familiar with standard security best practices.ย 

Minimum seven years of experience with Linux server platforms.ย 

Strong working knowledge of Linux Server administration and engineering.ย 

Knowledge of PCI Remediation and various audit requirements.ย 

Working knowledge and experience with Puppet, Cobbler.ย 

Working knowledge of HP Server Automation "HP SA".ย 

Working knowledge of scriptingย 

Working knowledge of SQL Reporting Services report creation.ย 

Working knowledge of TSQL queries.ย 

Working knowledge of Install shield, Wise Install or similar product.ย 

Working knowledge of VMWARE ESX, vSphere.ย 

Individual must interact extensively with all levels of management, business and IT, and is required to act in a professional and confident manner.ย 

Self-motivator possessing a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity.ย 

7+ years' experience in a fast-paced distributed systems support or engineering position.ย 

Experience in an enterprise-class IT organization, managing ? 600 distributed (Windows) servers.ย 

Industry-related certifications a plus.ย 

Strong customer service skills to deliver quality results in a demanding environment.ย 

Able to work well under pressure and within short time constraints.ย 

Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills.ย 

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.ย 

Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight.
