LOCATION: Palmdale, CA
PAY RATE: Up to $120/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:ย 

  • Responsible for performing stress analysis on new designs of primary and secondary airframe structures and updating existing analyses to reflect design changes.

  • Candidate should have experience with subsystem installations, MRB stress analysis of metallic and composite structures, and be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation drawings/models.

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance (Investigation within last 5 years or CE enrollment)

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline

  • Airframe primary structure layout and sizing

  • Hand/Excel-based analysis of aerospace structures

  • FEA software: NASTRAN and PATRAN or HyperMesh

  • CATIA V5 experience

  • Experience with Altair HyperMesh (pre-processor) and TMP Vision (post-processor)

  • Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems

  • Knowledge of Slim, Vision, IDAT, and CATIA 3DX

  • Strong ability to interpret detail, assembly, and installation drawings and models

  • Experience with both metallic and composite structures

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
