Invite a friend Back to job search Job Description: Summary The Sales Manager is responsible for both direct sales and working with DTS reseller partners to promote DTS products and services globally. This is a dynamic position requiring a combination of sales skills, excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and effective people skills. Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to: Sources, develops, and closes new sales opportunities. Collaborates with the Sales Director to create and execute a sales plan focused on increasing DTS sales, including short- and long-term strategies.

Enables Sales Partners through training, joint sales calls, Quarterly Business Reviews and other activities. Creates sales quotations and detailed proposals. Develops and maintains a sales forecast and reporting.

Assists with defining potential custom accessories or products needed to complete complex customer application solutions. Conducts on-site and virtual product demonstrations. Maintains and updates Salesforce CRM database, including preparing a sales forecast.

Uses social media tools, primarily Linked In to promote DTS solutions. Assists in identifying new products to meet customer needs. Interfaces with customer service and technical support departments to assure that customer expectations are met.

Attends tradeshows and regional seminars. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as requested by DTS management. Experience and Skills: Qualifications and Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the Responsibilities and Duties satisfactorily.

The qualifications and skills listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities for the job. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar discipline and previous sales experience (approx.

5+ years) in the Test and Measurement or related industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. In-depth knowledge of data acquisition hardware, sensors, and associated software is necessary. Strong understanding of the technical sales process, with proven interpersonal skills, and passion to pursue a career path in sales.

Formal sales training is a plus (e.g. Sandler, Miller-Heiman). Experience with dynamic test and measurement applications with the ability to understand customer requirements and propose solutions is necessary

Demonstrated ability to appropriately address and document details, simultaneously manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with other individuals/departments is necessary. The ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional, diplomatic manner is also necessary. Ability to effectively prepare and deliver product demonstrations and PowerPoint presentations is necessary.

Demonstrated proficiency using MS Windows PC as well as various computer programs, such as Outlook Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as, the ability to learn and master several essential DTS software products is necessary. Previous experience using LinkedIn and/or Sales Navigator to prospect for new business is strongly preferred. Benefits Why Join DTS.
