Job description

Traveling Liner Technician Opportunity

Make money and travel the East Coast! Year round work available installing liner!

Chesapeake Containment Systems, Inc. (CCS) is a professional environmental construction company. We specialize in the Solid Waste, Power, and Industrial markets. Our job sites are nationwide, primarily on the East Coast. Our ideal candidate will travel and install liner. We have a significant backlog of work and do not limit overtime hours.

Work Location: Traveling nationwide, primarily the East Coast.

Responsibilities for Liner Technician

  • Leistering, grinding, and testing samples using tensiometer.
  • Welding using an extrusion gun and a wedge/fusion welder.
  • Filling and moving sandbags.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the work area, including picking up trash.
  • Deploying liner by placing geosynthetic materials on the ground using clamps, to pull the liner into place.
  • Assisting others with welding and other liner duties.

Requirements for Liner Technician

  • Prior liner technician experience is required.
  • Must pass a welding proctor exam consisting of 5 peels and 5 shears using two different types of polyethylene geomembrane.
  • CWT/IAGI Certification is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and be away from home.
  • Ability to walk 5+ miles per day, frequently up and down steep slopes.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently, throughout an entire workday.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, hot and cold.
  • Ability to pass a background check and regular drug tests.
  • Ability to maintain safety standards.
