Job description

Overview
The primary responsibilities of the Linen Attendant are to stock clean linen in locker rooms, clear soiled linen from the linen chute, receive linen trucks, unbox linen, and organize storage areas. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities
  • Stock clean linen and amenities in Housekeeping locker rooms.
  • Count linen inventory on Housekeeping locker shelves to determine delivery quantities.
  • Clear soiled linen from the linen chute and service landings when required.
  • Verify clean linen deliveries from vendors to ensure accurate quantities.
  • Use carts to transport full and empty hampers from one tower to the other tower and other departments.
  • Organize and stock boxed linen and bedding storage areas.
  • Organize hampers and soiled and clean linen and keep hallways clear.
  • Complete linen tracking and delivery paperwork as required.
  • Organize hampers and keep hallways clear.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Enthusiastic and energetic.
  • Willing to comply with all rules and policies as set forth by the Hotel and department.
  • Communication skills as needed to receive and respond to instructions given by the Housekeeping Department as well as applying to personal safety and guest safety.
  • At least six months of experience in general cleaning.
  • Must have ability to multi task and exhibits flexibility.
  • Use all PPE as designed and required for each area assigned.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both in written and oral form.
  • Minimum age requirement 21.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic math skills.
Language Skills:
Must be able to speak and understand English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Constantly standing, eye/hand coordination, handling, wrist motion, hearing, speaking, seeing, reading, and bending.
  • Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
  • Constantly lifting and carrying trays up to a maximum of 15lbs. at mid body level, for distances up to a maximum of 500 ft. during shift.
  • Frequently stooping, reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
  • Work with others in close spaces.
  • Moderate to high noise levels.
  • Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.

Pay Range
USD $16.00 - USD $16.00 /Hr.
