The restaurant porter is an important position that supports both the back and front of house before, throughout, and after service. This position requires someone who is positive, self-motivated, and a good communicator. Also, stamina, efficiency, and a good work ethic will be important for the position.
What You'll Do
  • Properly polishing silverware, glassware, and chinaware.
  • Removing and replacing glass racks in the dish area.
  • Help stock server-stations with glassware and silverware.
  • Help stock chinaware on the expo line.
  • Remove dirty linen bag throughout service and retrieve clean linen for server and support staff.
  • Communication with management about glassware, plateware, and silverware shortages
  • Access stewarding storeroom to maintain pars on plateware, glassware, and flatware
