R+L Carriers has an immediate need for a Linehaul Dispatcher to work at our Tonawanda, NY Service Center. As a Linehaul Dispatcher, you will be tasked with planning, directing, and coordinating the movement of regional and national LTL shipments. This includes developing geographical-specific plans to ensure service standards are achieved in the most economical means possible. Directing the use of Purchased Transportation and Intermodal. Coordinating LCV lanes in geographical areas (when required) and reducing partial and empty dispatches by managing freight flow and resources.
Requirements:
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using PC, Database, and Mainframe applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge or Windows, Outlook and other Microsoft products

Preferred:
  • 2+ years of experience as a freight dispatcher or similar role in a fast pace environment
  • Experience in freight truck routing
  • Experience in LTL freight or similar industry
