Job description

Job Purpose: As a production line worker for Lucas Oil Products, you will work alongside teammates to bottle and package Lucas Oil. The line workers responsibilities include keeping the production area clean, preparing machinery and equipment for use, working the production line as instructed, and strictly following work instructions, as well as health and safety guidelines. To be successful as a production line worker you should be able to work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy. An outstanding production line worker should be able to maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently perform manufacturing line duties, including, but not limited to operating machinery, monitoring output, recognizing malfunctions, manually filling bottles, affixing lids and labels, stacking cases on pallets, securing pallets, moving product and heavy objects by hand, and performing other labor functions as directed by a supervisor.
  • Safely and efficiently operate a forklift, performing such tasks as moving pallets of product, supplies and equipment from point-to-point inside and outside the facility.
  • Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
  • Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.
  • Identify and attend to quality issues as needed.
  • Report issues timely to the supervisor on duty.
  • Performing other tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Physical dexterity to operate machinery and handle small parts.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions and operate machines.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing and eye protection.
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions including hot, cold, and noisy environments.
  • Capable of performing tasks that involve continuous hand and arm movements.
  • Ability to work on elevated platforms or scaffolding when necessary.
  • Must be able to perform tasks that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Available for shift work, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination and periodic health screenings as required by the company.
