You will be based in our Kinston, NC location. The shift is Monday through Friday starting at 10:00 pm to 6:00 pm. This role supports the production line and will follow production's needs.

Summary:

ThePress Line Operator - Level 5is a senior-level production role responsible for operating, monitoring, andoptimizingPress Line manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output. This role serves as a subject matter expert on Press Line operations, provides guidance to lower-level operators,leadsadvanced troubleshooting efforts, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

Your main tasks:

  • Operate andmonitorautomated and semi-automated Press Line equipment at advancedproficiencylevels.

  • Perform advanced machinesetup, changeovers, and calibrations to meet production schedules and specifications.

  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues; coordinate with maintenance as needed.

  • Lead quality assurance efforts by ensuring products meet all specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer standards.

  • Identifyand implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize downtime.

  • Train, coach, and mentor Press Line Operators Levels 1-4 on procedures, safety, and best practices.

  • Review production documentation and ensureaccuratecompletion of logs, batch records, and inspection reports.

  • Enforce safety policies andparticipatein safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supervision teams on new products, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.

  • Serve as acting lead or backup supervisor when assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GEDrequired, technical certification or associate degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience, withsignificant experienceoperating Press Line or similar production equipment.

  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety standards.

  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment and process issues.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Basic computer skills (production systems, data entry, email).

  • Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training.

  • Forklift or industrial equipment certification.

Physical Demands:

  • Should be able to team lift any package greater than 25 lbs.

  • Should be able to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending

  • Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and temperature variations.

  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for equipment operation and inspections.
