We are seeking a Team Leader (Material Handler)for Kohler Co., you will be an ambassador of the Kohler brand and the Vikrellproduct line.ย  In this role, you will beresponsible for training all new Material Handler associates on the essentialfunctions of the role.ย  You will functionas a role model in safely, responsibly, and efficiently performing the role, includingloading & unloading trucks for shipment & receiving, determiningloading patterns, keeping records of materials loaded and unloaded, takinginventories, and assisting in the removal of scrap.ย  You will autonomously assign and perform housekeeping& 5S work throughout every shift and direct your team members to do thesame.ย  You will work 8-hour shifts for 5days and work will include sitting, standing, bending, twisting, andlifting.ย ย  You will be an ideal candidateif you have a natural work ethic, sense of urgency and enjoy training andcreating a highly functioning team.

Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities:

ย  ย ย Properly, effectively, and enthusiastically train new Material Handler associates on all essential functions of the Material Handler role.

ย ย ย ย Constantly and consistently coach and mentor less tenured Material Handlers.

ย  ย  Conduct daily placement and direction of associates in the work area.

ย  ย  Operate materials handling equipment, including a forklift.

ย  ย  Ensure correctness (amount, type, etc.) of any material loaded and determine loading patterns.

ย  ย ย Notify the appropriate personnel, supervisor, and/or manager of any loading problems.

ย  ย  Inspect material handling equipment and notify supervisor and/or manager of improper conditions.

ย  ย  Assists in the removal of scrap as required.

ย  ย  Prepare and ship LTL shipments.

ย  ย  Clean and otherwise prepare vehicles for loading.

ย  ย  Transport finished goods to and from designated areas, including offloading transfers properly.

ย  ย  Placement of goods, including properly scanning product(s), into designated location.

ย  ย ย Perform bin-to-bin transactions.

ย  ย  Visually inspect packaging for damage.

ย  ย  Assist in off-loading, as necessary.

ย  ย  Pull and stage parts for shipments.

ย  ย ย Strive to attain and maintaining established standards of productivity, quality, safety, and good housekeeping in your assigned area on every shift.

ย  ย  Operate materials handling equipment according to plant safety rules and regulations.

ย  ย  Exercise informal corrective discipline in a positive and coaching manner, as needed.

ย  ย ย Work in a safe and orderly manner and practice good 5S and housekeeping at all times.

ย  ย  Relieve team members for lunch, personal periods, and absenteeism.

ย  ย  Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job, as directed by the Supervisor or Management.

ย  ย ย Complete and maintain training on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies and procedures.
