JOB SUMMARY:

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Locator to join our team. The Locate Technician will be responsible for accurately identifying and marking underground utilities and infrastructure to ensure safe excavation and construction activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in various outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate and mark underground utilities such as gas, water, electric, and telecommunications lines using specialized equipment.
  • Interpret maps, blueprints, and technical drawings to identify utility locations.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, utility companies, and other stakeholders to coordinate locating activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of located utilities and provide detailed reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all locating activities.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of locating equipment.
  • Respond promptly to locate requests and complete assignments within designated timeframes.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
