Job Description Equipment Operator - Class A CDL Pay: $19.04/hr | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Nights, Weekends & On-Call as Needed About the Role We are looking for a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator with a valid Class A CDL to join our team. This is a hands-on field position working in the water and sewer industry. The ideal candidate brings experience operating heavy equipment specifically operating a backhoe, a solid understanding of underground utilities, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a variety of conditions

Responsibilities Equipment Operation Operate backhoes, loaders, and track hoes as needed. Run power equipment including gas-powered compaction packers, cut-off saws, hydraulic saws, hydraulic jackhammers, hydraulic pumps, air tools, impact wrenches, and more. Use hand tools and specialty tools common to the water and sewer industry.

Water & Sewer Installation and Repair Install, replace, and repair D.I., PVC, C.I., and clay pipe and their associated appurtenances. Operate water and sewer tapping machines with basic plumbing knowledge. Set water meters and meter boxes, and run water services from the main line to the property

Install, replace, and repair fire hydrants, water valves, and paving boxes. Install, replace, and repair precast concrete manholes, risers, and ring/lid assemblies. Site & Traffic Control Understand and direct the setup of traffic control devices and road closures.

Cut concrete, ductile iron pipe, PVC, clay, and cast iron pipe. Pour and finish concrete as required. Documentation & Communication Read construction plans and complete materials estimates.

Maintain accurate records and complete all required paperwork. Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.

Availability Respond to emergency calls outside of normal working hours as needed. Requirements Valid Class A CDL - required Experience operating backhoes, loaders, and track hoes Familiarity with water and sewer tapping machines and related materials Knowledge of pipe materials including D.I., PVC, C.I., and clay pipe Experience with fire hydrant, water valve, and manhole installation and repair Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, and kneel as needed Ability to work in inclement weather and varied outdoor conditions Commitment to working safely without injury to self or others Schedule & Pay Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Additional: Nights and weekends as required; on-call as needed Pay: $19.04 per hour #T2023
