Job description

The Helper will assist in preparing goods for packaging, assembly and distribution.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Package and wrap product in compliance to company best practices.
  • Assemble product, and or stage orders as directed by management
  • Wrap product with plastic wrap, furniture blankets and label accordingly
  • Use a hand truck, palette jack as needed.
  • Protect furniture, load and secure in a safe manner
  • Assist the Driver in maintaining a clean, organized truck cab and cargo area
  • Report any needed repairs to management as damages or issues occur
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/ or safety procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Assist the lead driver or warehouse lead in unloading or loading trucks.
  • Help maintain a clean work environment.
  • Assist the lead driver while backing up to ensure safety.

EDUCATION/TRAINING: Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Prior Experience in inventory preparation, packing, wrapping and loading van line, domestic and International containerized shipments required.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Customer relations and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb stairs, bend and be physically active for extended periods
  • Ability to use basic tools such as screw drivers, cordless drills etc....
  • Math aptitude, organization and reading skills
