Job description

Atlas Roofing Shingle and Underlayments is seekingProduction Line LaborersforClinton, IA.

We are currently accepting applications and interviewing candidates for positions expected to begin in October and November 2026.

Starting at $20.00 per hour, plus applicable shift differential.

Production Line Laborer Primary Responsibilities

You'll become an important part of our production team while receiving hands-on training in one of several positions throughout our manufacturing process.

  • Perform all job duties safely, maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with all plant safety policies and procedures, including all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Assist in production and shipping of high-quality roofing products that meet customer specifications.
  • Set up raw materials and equipment to established standards.
  • Inspect product throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Operate forklift, bobcat, or other equipment to perform assigned duties.
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues, communicating shift updates, and supporting continuous improvements in safety, quality, and production efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through routine housekeeping, cleaning, painting, and other facility maintenance tasks.
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned.

Production Line Laborer Schedule

  • 24/7 manufacturing facility
  • 12-hour straight shifts (7:00am - 7:00pm or 7:00pm - 7:00am)
  • 2-2-3 work schedule (36 hours one week / 48 hours the next)
  • Overtime expected during production ramp-up

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the Production Line Laborer is regularly required to communicate verbally and hear effectively. The role frequently requires standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs and ladders, grasping, performing fine and gross motor movements, and reaching both forward and above head level throughout the duration of the shift. The employee must be able to work in varying temperature conditions, safely operate assigned machinery, and regularly push, pull and/or lift up to 75 pounds.
