Job Description:

Production Line Operator

Position Summary: Production Line Operator assist Production Line Mechanic with all direct and indirect production equipment, such as: feeders, slitters, welders, conveyors, elevators, flangers, beaders, double seamers, tester, palletizers, strappers etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate and assist Production Line Mechanic in maintaining production line efficiencies, quality of production and records.
  • Perform quality checks.
  • Work under the direction of Production Line Mechanic.
  • Follow all required environmental, health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and safety - keep work area clean.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred).
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Exhibit safety and quality as their top priorities.
  • Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with metal coatings is a plus.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand continuously for more than 8+ hours per shift.
  • Must be able to walk, lift/carry up to 50 lbs on occasion.
  • Must be about to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must be able to twist at the waist and bend repetitively.
  • This position may also require climbing or balancing.
  • Must be able to work up to twelve (12) hour shifts, both day and evening.
