Title: SAP SCM Functional Manufacturing Specialist
Location: Waukegan, Illinois- 60085
Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate Range: $90/hr to $95/hr

Job Description:

Experienced SAP SCM Functional Manufacturing Specialist to support global supply chain and manufacturing initiatives within a highly regulated healthcare environment. This role will focus on SAP Production Planning, Production Execution, Quality Management, and Warehouse Management processes while contributing to functional architecture, solution design, and enterprise-scale SAP implementations.
The ideal candidate will possess deep hands-on SAP ECC 6 experience in manufacturing environments, particularly within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device industries. Candidates must be comfortable leading projects, gathering requirements, configuring SAP solutions, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting validated systems in regulated environments.
This is an onsite role based in Waukegan, IL.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support SAP SCM projects across manufacturing, quality, warehouse, and logistics domains.
  • Configure and support SAP ECC 6 modules including:
    • PP / PP-PI / PP-DS
    • QM
    • WM/EWM
    • Inventory Management & Logistics Operations
  • Participate in project intake sessions, requirements gathering workshops, and solution design discussions.
  • Prepare functional specifications, test scripts, validation documentation, and change management artifacts.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional SAP teams including OTC, RTR, PTP, ABAP, Security, MDG, and EDI/TIBCO teams.
  • Drive configuration reviews, functional testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
  • Support SAP solution architecture initiatives including integration design, standards alignment, scalability, and roadmap planning.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, quality teams, and release management throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, validation standards, and regulated industry requirements.
  • Provide production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Support hypercare and post-go-live stabilization activities.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of SAP SCM functional experience.
  • Strong hands-on configuration experience in:
    • SAP PP / PP-PI / PP-DS
    • SAP QM
    • SAP WM/EWM
  • Experience working in SAP ECC 6 environments.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is required.
  • Pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device industry experience is required.
  • Ability to lead SAP projects and independently manage deliverables.
  • Experience with functional documentation, testing, and validation processes.
  • Strong understanding of SAP integration across SCM process areas.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with:
    • POMS MES
    • LIMS
    • Solution Manager
    • ServiceNow
    • ALM
  • Experience contributing to SAP functional architecture and enterprise solution design.
  • Prior project leadership or team leadership experience.
