Your Role:

As the Material Handler 2, you are responsible for the receiving, storing and distributing of materials and/or samples used to support the Testing Operations within the organization and our clients.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Receive materials, client samples and/or internal finished goods daily. Check and process received items in line with appropriate quality procedures (physical / quantity check and paperwork verification)
  • Ensure inventory is stored and distributed in line with agreed quality / regulatory compliance (e.g. GMP material control, temperature control) and provide traceability through maintenance of accurate system transactions (ERP or LIMS)
  • Maintain stock accuracy at all times through timely system maintenance such as cycle counting and routine disposal
  • Actively maintains a clean, audit ready and safe work environment including equipment monitoring/maintenance under the responsibility of the department
  • Perform inter-site transfer of samples or materials between departments. May be completed via internal transportation or courier
  • Operate material handling equipment as necessary (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, dock lever, etc.)
  • Notifies relevant personnel immediately and escalate to Supervisor/Manager should a deviation or other unexpected observation occur.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with SOPs and regulations (e.g. cGMP and GLP) and complies with company Quality and EHS regulations and procedures
  • Supports and/or leads small department continuous improvement or business projects as agreed by line management with a view to streamlining processes, making cost savings or reducing waste
  • Supports deviation investigations and implementation of corrective actions and can open related Quality Management System records.

Physical Attributes:

  • Ability to lift weight or exert force up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a wide range of temperatures including cold storage
  • PPE as required (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves, etc)

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree with 1+ years of industry work experience
  • OR
  • High School diploma or GED with 4+ years of industry work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in within a life science or biotechnology industry.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer systems (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle ERP or LIMS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Range for this position - $18/hr - $28/hr

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
