About the Role:
Midwest Limousine and Transportation d/b/a A-List Medical is looking for a reliable and compassionate Medical Transportation Driver to join our team in Chicago, IL. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives by ensuring safe, comfortable, and timely transport for Veterans, seniors, individuals with disabilities and healthcare consumers. Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport patients and medical clients to and from appointments, hospitals, clinics, and care facilities
  • Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs or mobility devices as needed
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper working condition
  • Follow designated routes while adapting to traffic conditions to ensure on-time arrivals
  • Communicate professionally with dispatchers, medical staff, and clients
  • Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict passenger confidentiality
Requirements:
  • Valid Illinois driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Previous experience in medical, non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT), or passenger transport preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to assist passengers with limited mobility, including wheelchair handling
  • Strong punctuality, reliability, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
