Your future role at a glance

Location:  Kokomo, Indiana

Facility:  Ascension Medical Group, clinic

Department/Specialty:  Kokomo Orthopedics

Schedule:  Part-time | Days | Wednesday 8am-4:30pm and 2 Fridays per month 8am-12pm

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Expertly position patients and select optimal exposure factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing the need for retakes.

  • Administer contrast media and medications in strict accordance with state and federal regulations, ensuring rigorous adherence to radiation safety protocols (ALARA).

  • Execute seamless data management by verifying lead markers and patient history prior to PACS submission, maintaining a 100% accuracy rate for digital records.

  • Monitor patient stability during complex procedures, identifying and reporting abnormal physiological responses to ensure immediate intervention when necessary.

  • Oversee equipment integrity through routine performance checks and "lock-out/tag-out" safety procedures, while maintaining a sterile and organized clinical environment.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

One year XRay experience preferred
