Job description

San Luis Valley Health is seeking a full-time Limited Scope Tech to join our Imaging Team!

What You'll Need:

  • Limited Scope X-Ray (LSRT) certificate or certification through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.
  • Successful completion of the first year of an ARRT-accredited program that meets Limited Scope X-Ray (LRST) certification per CDPHE guidelines.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
  • Maintains and ensures radiologic equipment remains in working order by performing routine maintenance, diagnosing malfunctions and arranging for repairs.
  • Perform x-ray, medical and testing procedures under the direct supervision of a registered x-ray technologist
  • Cleaning x-ray room and equipment daily
  • Performing general office duties such as scheduling, answering phones, filing, and scheduling of incoming patients, as necessary.
  • Moving equipment into specified position, preparing room, contrast material, and other materials needed to perform procedures as needed.
  • Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff.
