As one of the nations largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions is expanding their staff and seeking a Lighting Project Manager to join the FSG Dallas - National Accounts team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lighting Project Manager you be responsible for independently leading FSG's efforts with assigned accounts, ensuring that all assigned projects are completed on time and within the established budget.    The Lighting Project Manager (LPM) is the “face” of FSG to our customers.  The LPM  will become very familiar with the design intent and material list of assigned accounts and will proactively manage all aspects of those accounts.  The LPM will assist in the training and professional development of project coordinators, preparing them to assume project manager duties in the future.    The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, working to gain more education in the lighting field, be passionate about the work and looking forward to a career with FSG. 

A Lighting Project Manager will:

  • Attend “turn over” meeting with FSG pre-sale team; acquire detailed info on all aspects of the lighting plan for the account.
  • Attend all applicable meetings with assigned customers.
  • Ensure accurate site set-up in SX.enterprise.
  • Oversee and check take-off to ensure accuracy.
  • Confirm the bill of material for each project.
  • Assist in “crossing”, value engineering, or specifying material for assigned projects as required.
  • Negotiate pricing as required.
  • Approve final quote and send to customer.
  • Approve submittals and send to customer; receive submittals back from the customer.
  • Coordinate inventory commitments with FSG IC team and obtain customer signature on the FSG stocking agreement form.
  • Submit the material order.
  • Receive PO’s.
  • Check ship schedule, send to customer weekly.
  • Expedite material as needed.
  • Work through “punch list” issues with the site superintendent.
  • Oversee final miscellaneous shipment of material.
  • Ensure “as built” books sent to customer upon completion of the project.
  • Close out billing.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • LC Certification preferred
  • Two years experience as a Lighting Coordinator preferred
  • Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Valid drivers license
  • Must be able to pass a background screen
  • Ability to multitask while staying organized
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Positive customer service skills
  • Experience in lighting and electrical a plus!
