Job description

Job Summary

Take your next step with Saulsbury Industries. Location: Odessa, Abilene, or Houston, TX. Type: Full Time. Work within the I/E & Control Systems Department on control systems engineering and design for large industrial projects in midstream gas processing, petroleum refining, petrochemical, and upstream oil & gas industries.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a control systems engineer for selected projects.
  • Interact with other engineering disciplines, engineering and construction project managers, and clients (10%).
  • Provide input to the initial project schedule and support the regular maintenance of project schedules for designated projects (5%).
  • Work process quality review and drawing approval in the capacity of a lead engineer (20%).
  • Responsible for PLC/DCS programming and HMI configuration (40%).
  • Perform software factory acceptance tests and hardware acceptance tests for the plant control system (25%).
  • Provide manโ€‘hour and equipment estimates for project proposals.
  • Coordinate multiple activities under pressure, remaining selfโ€‘motivated and collaborative.
Qualifications
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in control systems engineering; 10+ years preferred.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and Wonderware HMI development.
  • DeltaV programming and industrial networking experience are a plus.
  • Selfโ€‘learner with willingness to go the extra mile to accomplish tasks.
  • EIT licensure required or ability to obtain licensure after joining.
  • Strong troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detailโ€‘oriented organizational skills and strong computer proficiency (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to walk the property and lay down yards.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
