Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that are culturally sensitive, allowing for an in-depth understanding of each patientโ€™s unique background and experiences.
  • Design and execute evidence-based treatment plans that incorporate individual patient factors, promoting an approach that is both effective and respectful of cultural diversity.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a wide range of mental health issues, fostering resilience and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary teamโ€”including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionalsโ€”to ensure holistic and coordinated care for patients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support when faced with mental health emergencies, ensuring patient safety and effective resolution of acute situations.
  • Guide patients and their families through treatment options, educating them about mental health conditions and connecting them with community resources.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of patient records.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.
  • Strong demonstrated ability to engage with and treat culturally diverse populations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in outpatient mental health settings, particularly with underserved populations.
  • Background in utilizing telehealth platforms to conduct therapy sessions effectively.
