Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual video chat counseling sessions to enhance clients' mental health and emotional well-being.
• Facilitate discussions around emotions and personal experiences, helping clients to gain insights into their thoughts and relationships.
• Serve as an advocate for clients in identifying and defining their personal therapeutic goals.
• Evaluate the mental health status of clients, then develop and apply customized treatment plans that employ solution-focused methodologies based on your clinical expertise.
• Collaborate with clients in a reciprocal therapeutic relationship that encourages engagement and commitment to treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will work with are prescreened to ensure they are stable with low acuity mental health concerns. This approach not only promotes a positive therapeutic environment but also enhances your ability to make significant progress in their mental health journeys. You will engage with a diverse demographic, allowing you to apply your skills in ways that resonate with your personal therapeutic style and expertise.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• An independent license issued by the state board, such as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Limited or provisional licenses are not accepted.
• Proficiency in evaluating mental health conditions and formulating effective treatment plans.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.
• Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with teletherapy technologies and electronic health record management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in teletherapy or remote counseling settings is highly beneficial, given the nature of virtual client interactions.
• Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and presenting a range of mental health concerns.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a full caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality client care.
