Job description

Position Summary:

Salvage Technicians report to the Project Manager when on projects and to the Facility/Warehouse Manager when not deployed. Salvage Technicians are the general labor positions associated with salvage jobs to include, but notbe limitedto, the following tasks.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Handling ofdiaphragm pumps, gas powered trash pumps, electric submersible pumps, air compressors, generators, and associated items such as hoses,oilersand water separators.
  • Technician handlesall rigging procedures for crane lifts.
  • Responsible for learning and using current crane hand signals for crane lifts.
  • Able to operateall equipment including start and run procedures andcheckingall fluids before operation.
  • Proper fueling, start up and storage procedures for all equipment.

  • Inspection and maintenance of all lighting equipment.
    • String lights including bulbs and cords

    • Bulbs in light tower and proper procedure for replacing bulb(s)

  • Site maintenance
    • Proper storing ofgear,riggingand supplies.
    • Trash control including keeping all trash and scrap metal picked up and disposed of in the correct containers.
  • Experienced in fire watch procedures to assistwelders and burners.
  • Paint application, sand blastingand coatings on projects.
  • Cleaning of pumping equipment and hoses after they are used.
  • Post project inspection of equipment for defects to be noted with Redtags and repacked for return to warehouse.
  • Other duties as assigned
