Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose

The Produce Packer Light will be responsible for re-packing of produce orders to small pack sizes and ensure customer order requirements are met. This includes accurate weighing, grading and sorting of raw material, repetitive lifting of up to 15+ lbs, sorting and maintaining the overall cleanliness of workstations.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and grade products to ensure Food Safety requirements are met.
  • Accurate piece count of produce to meet customer order requirements.
  • Safely load workstations with raw material to prep for re-pack.
  • Repetitive lifting of raw material with weights of up to 15+ lbs.
  • Sanitize, wipe and clean workstations to maintain overall cleanliness of area.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment.
  • Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
