What is light housekeeping?

Light housekeeping refers to basic cleaning and maintenance tasks in a home or living space. This typically includes duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming, washing dishes, doing laundry, making beds, and tidying up rooms. Light housekeeping does not usually involve deep cleaning tasks like scrubbing carpets, washing windows, or moving heavy furniture. It is often provided as part of home care or companion services to help maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents. The specific duties may vary depending on the employer or agency.

What are some common challenges faced in a light housekeeping role and how can they be managed?

One common challenge is managing time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently without sacrificing quality.
