Light Duty Construction Technician
United Uptime Services, a fast-growing leader in the petroleum services industry, is looking for experienced, energetic, hardworking Light Duty Construction Technician in Houston, TX area. Light Duty Construction Technician, also known as Heavy Maintenance Technician, will assist in the installation of fueling systems including Installing underground and aboveground tanks, installing fuel dispensers, cleaning and replacing spill containment systems, busting and removal of concrete, piping, electrical wiring, excavating, and other petroleum related work.

What You Will Do:
  • Conduct work on construction projects, concrete removal and replacement, manhole and spill containment replacements
  • Framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing small portions of concrete
  • Operate equipment such as company work truck, skid steers, forklift, man-lift following all equipment and company safety protocols
  • Ensure safe housekeeping practices are always followed, including job cleanup at the end of each day
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure all are in proper and safe working order
  • Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements
  • Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, clients, and supervisors)

What We're Looking For:
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally and work out of town including overnight stays; amount of travel will vary
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor, and develop customer relations and superior service
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
  • Pass a drug test and background check. (required)
  • Class A CDL Preferred, but will pay to certify the right individual
  • Experience in construction work helpful and any heavy equipment operation is a PLUS
  • Troubleshooting skills/logical problem-solving skills
