Job Summary:

The Operations Manager’s position reports directly to The Vice President/General Manager. The Operations Manager oversees all aspects of the manufacturing facility's day-to-day production duties, including production planning, staff supervision, cost management, and ensuring that production targets are met while adhering to quality, safety, and customer requirements. This role will lead a team of dedicated manufacturing professionals to build and deliver electronic manufacturing services (EMS) specializing in high-reliability, mission-critical electronics for the defense, aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors. Oversee the manufacture of complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA), cable and wire harnesses, and full system integration ("box builds"), primarily for high-mix, low-volume programs.




Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

•Execute production schedules to meet customer demand.

•Delivering high quality, reliable and on-time products to customers.

•Maintain MFG dashboard: product pipeline, MFG schedules, scorecard, and risks/mitigations.

•Assist in annual budgeting and collaborate with Finance to ensure needs are within budgetary constraints/forecasted budgets.

•Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations.

•Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.

•Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.

•Determines labor needs to meet production goals.

•Assists with, or prepares and updates, organization’s operations manual and policies.

•Performs other related duties as required.





Required Skills/Abilities:

•Experience operating in an ISO 9001:2015/AS9100 Quality Environment strongly preferred.

•Computer literate in Microsoft Office tools and MRP/ERP systems (preferably Syteline).

•Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.

•Good communication skills and the ability to motivate team members to realize defined objectives and goals.

•Strong people management and coaching skills

•Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.

•Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.

•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.




Education and Experience:

•BS+ in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar preferred.

•5+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership preferred. Experience with analytical instrumentation and/or chemical processes preferred.
