Job Description

Compensation: $21.59 an hour plus $1.00 Shift Premium - paid weekly

Night Shift Available: 5:20pm to 5:30am, with 3 paid breaks

ROLE: Responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving of all in and outbound materials, parts, supplies, etc.; logging and delivering to designated person or area as required. Employees with this title will general focus on one of these two functional areas: warehouse and material handling.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Unload/Load all inbound/outbound shipments - boxes, bags, miscellaneous parts and supplies after checking loaded trailer wheels for chocks

Verify packing lists by counting items received, sign packing list date and enter into SAP.

Deliver to designated person/area in each department daily; air freight or emergency shipments delivered promptly and forward all packing lists to purchasing

Place cartons/bags in proper location in the warehouse and stock carton staging area as needed

Maintain carton storage area

Deliver cartons and bags to production staging area as needed

Perform periodic cycle counts of cartons and bags as requested

Prepare shipments as required with proper packing lists attached

Complete a physical count of in-house parts after each a production run of that part. (This should be completed immediately after, what is thought to be, the last case of that production run is completed.)

Trained in various SAP functions to perform in the Team Leader's absence

Other duties as necessary.

Can demonstrate ability to maintain work area in clean, safe order

Operate Equipment:

Ability to operate motorized equipment and other peripheral equipment safely and efficiently as required

Ability to feed and operate grinder without jamming or damaging grinder system

Inventory Control/Management:

Can demonstrate ability to accurately count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled, using daily production sheet or work ticket

Can demonstrate proper techniques used to arrange materials/items in specified sequence for assembly and/or distribution

Demonstrates ability to accurately post data from one source to another in ERP or peripheral software systems

Organization:

Demonstrates ability to be a self starter and work independently to complete assignments/responsibilities

Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize workload as required

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent experience

Basic math and computer skills

Forklift certification/license

Good oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Pretest ability to lift 75 lbs

ADA - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to:

Climb approved ladders and moveable steps

Heed safety warnings, devices and alarms

Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifts up to 75 lbs. All lifts over 75 lbs require 2-person lift or mechanical assistance.

Possess adequate ability to do problem solving and establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment
