Oh, we’re also self-funded which gives us the freedom to work on whatever we think brings the most value to customers and communities in the long run!

About You and this Role

Are you a visionary product strategist who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, deep technical execution, and user experience? As a Group Product Manager at Liferay, you will own outcomes across critical functional domains and product teams within our Enterprise Digital Experience Platform (DXP).

You will bridge executive vision with execution, aligning your portfolio with company-wide strategy to consistently deliver measurable business value. You will act as a primary functional expert, guiding long-term technical and strategic decisions, identifying key roadblocks, and mentoring product managers to foster innovation and operational excellence across the department.

Key Objectives

  • Define & Execute Product Roadmap: Establish a clear, measurable multi-quarter product strategy and roadmap for your assigned domain that directly aligns with Liferay’s broader business goals.

  • Cross-Domain Prioritization & Tradeoffs: Arbitrate competing priorities and resourcing tradeoffs across product areas, making the call on where the business gets the most value next.

  • Executive & Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the primary point of contact to executive leadership, Sales/GTM, Finance, Product Marketing and Engineering leadership for this portfolio, presenting strategy, roadmap, and results.

  • Drive Team Delivery & Alignment: Partner closely with Engineering and Project Management to ensure the right features are delivered on schedule.

  • Customer & Market Insight: Conduct ongoing quantitative and qualitative analysis, including customer interviews, market trend analysis, and competitive reviews, to validate product decisions and shape future capabilities.

  • GTM Readiness: ensure the features and product modules are GTM ready across departments (Legal, Marketing, Operations, etc.) in a quarterly basis.

  • Mentorship & Best Practices: Mentor and coach mid-level/associate product managers/owners, ensuring team adoption of product management best practices, data-informed decision-making, and long-term solution viability.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, specifically managing complex B2B software, enterprise SaaS, or Digital Experience Platforms (DXP). Meaningful exposure to content management and marketing use cases (digital marketing workflows, public websites, SEO/GEO knowledge) is a plus.

  • Ability to bridge the gap between business/product goals and complex technical architecture. Comfortable engaging in deep technical discussions with engineering and product partners.

  • Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional delivery teams independently using Agile/Scrum frameworks.

  • Direct experience coaching, managing, or dotted-line leading other Product Managers, Product Owners, or Designers.

  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with proven experience presenting strategy and roadmaps to senior executive stakeholders

  • This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites.

  • Experience setting up and scaling AI-enabled workflows within a product organization.

  • Hands-on experience utilizing modern product analytics tools (e.g., Pendo, Amplitude, Mixpanel) to drive data-informed product decisions.
