As a Recruiter at LifeLine EMS, you will lead full-cycle recruiting efforts that support one of Southern California's leading emergency medical services organizations. Working closely with operational leaders, you'll develop strategic sourcing plans to attract top talent across clinical and administrative roles, including EMTs, paramedics, and corporate support positions.

In this role, you'll leverage job boards, social media, professional networks, and innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage high-quality candidates. You'll manage the recruitment process from initial resume review and candidate screening through interview coordination and offer support, ensuring an efficient and positive hiring experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Beyond recruiting, you'll serve as a brand ambassador for LifeLine EMS by representing the organization at career fairs, community events, and recruiting initiatives. You'll also support onboarding efforts by helping new team members transition seamlessly into their roles through organized onboarding materials, scheduling, and communication.

Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a vital role in sourcing, attracting, and hiring talented individuals to join our team. You will be responsible for full-cycle recruitment, from identifying staffing needs to onboarding. This part-time role is perfect for someone who is skilled in candidate sourcing and selection, has a keen understanding of the healthcare or EMS industry, and wants to make a difference in a dynamic and impactful environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Sourcing and Recruitment:
    • Assist with development and execute sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates for a variety of roles, including EMTs, paramedics, and administrative staff.
    • Utilize job boards, social media, professional networks, and other creative sourcing methods to identify potential hires.
    • Partner with department heads to understand staffing needs and create targeted recruitment plans.
  • Screening and Selection:
    • Conduct initial resume screenings, phone interviews, and assessments to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
    • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and ensure timely feedback.
    • Facilitate a seamless interview process by coordinating between candidates and interview panels.
  • Candidate Engagement and Experience:
    • Create an engaging candidate experience by maintaining clear and consistent communication with applicants throughout the hiring process.
    • Represent LifeLine-EMS at virtual or in-person recruitment events, career fairs, and community engagement initiatives, as needed.
  • Onboarding Support:
    • Assist with onboarding new hires, ensuring a smooth transition from offer acceptance to their first day.
    • Support the development and maintenance of onboarding materials and schedules.

Qualifications:

  • 1 - 2 years of proven experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment
    • Experience within the Healthcare, EMS, or public safety sector is preferred but not required
    • Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and other recruitment platforms
      • Experience with Paycom ATS preferred
      • Experience with Indeed, LinkedIn, and Handshake preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates effectively and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks

Position Type & Compensation

  • Position is an Exempt, Fully On-Site Position
  • Starting Pay at $70,304/annual
