Job description

Lifeguard Supervisor

At Camp Margaritaville Resort, we blend laid-back island vibes with exceptional hospitality to create unforgettable experiences for every guest. From family-friendly activities to signature Margaritaville celebrations, we deliver fun, escape, and adventure in every moment.

As a Lifeguard Supervisor, you will lead and support the lifeguard team while ensuring the highest standards of safety across all aquatic amenities. This role combines active supervision with hands-on leadership to maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for guests and team members alike.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability

Job Requirements:

  • Supervise daily lifeguard operations at the pool, lazy river, and waterslides
  • Ensure lifeguards are properly positioned, alert, and following all safety protocols
  • Enforce aquatic safety rules and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure all safety and rescue equipment is present, accessible, and in working order
  • Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary aquatic areas
  • Assist with training, scheduling, and coaching lifeguard staff
  • Document incidents and communicate safety concerns to management
  • Provide friendly, professional guest interaction while upholding resort safety standards

Job Qualifications:

  • Lifeguard certification required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have the flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
