Reports to: Deck Supervisor
FLSA Status: Part time, Non-Exempt
Summary: We’re looking for an alert, dependable, and safety-first team member to join us as a Lifeguard. This role is the backbone of what we do. You'll be poolside every shift, keeping a watchful eye over our swimmers, and creating a safe environment where kids and families feel confident in the water. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain constant, focused surveillance of all patrons in the facility and respond immediately and appropriately to any emergency.

  • Communicate facility rules to members and guests fairly, consistently, and with a welcoming attitude.
  • Inform management of any incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility throughout every shift.
  • Help drive our mission and ensure everyone has a Golden Experience while in the building.
What We’re Looking For:

  • 6 months of lifeguard experience at an aquatic facility or camp preferred.
  • Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.
  • While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat, humidity, and chlorine. Noise level is usually moderate.
 What Success Looks Like:
  • Every swimmer is accounted for, and every shift is covered with full attention.
  • Families feel safe bringing their children to our facility because the standard never slips.
  • Emergencies are handled with composure, professionalism, and by the book.
  • The pool deck is clean, organized, and reflects the Goldfish standard.
Our Culture: At Goldfish Swim School, we believe every child deserves to be safe in and around water. Our team is passionate, people-first, and committed to a golden experience every day. Our Lifeguards are a key part of making that happen, from the first lesson, to the first level up, and beyond.
