Key Responsibilities

As a mental health therapist at Life Vista Counseling Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately identify client mental health needs, formulating individualized treatment plans that align with risk assessments and clinical best practices.
• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic services to individuals, groups, and families, utilizing a range of methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices.
• Collaborating with fellow professionals, including nurses, social workers, and psychiatrists, to develop and execute integrated care strategies that provide multifaceted support for clients.
• Providing timely crisis intervention and emotional support to clients experiencing acute psychological distress or emergency situations.
• Engaging in community outreach and educational initiatives aimed at raising awareness of mental health issues and reducing stigma within the Scottsdale area.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will reflect the rich diversity of Scottsdale and surrounding communities, as you work with individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will encounter clients dealing with a wide range of issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and substance use. This diversity will enhance your clinical experience and increase your cultural competence as you adapt your therapeutic approaches to meet unique client needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A completed master's degree or a doctor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and create therapeutic alliances with clients from various backgrounds.
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to address the needs of our diverse client population effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure accurate documentation and timely follow-up care.

Preferred Experience

While specific experience may vary, candidates with prior experience in community mental health settings, crisis intervention, or work with diverse populations will find the greatest alignment with our goals. Prior familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote communication tools will also be advantageous in delivering services effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
