Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Life Safety Systems (LSS) Construction Manager with deep expertise in Fire Alarm (FA) and VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) systems to support the execution of a large-scale data center project (Buildings 3 & 4). This role is critical to ensuring life safety systems are installed, tested, and commissioned to meet stringent code, client, and project standards.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee field execution of Fire Alarm and VESDA installation, integration, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with project design, NFPA codes, and client requirements for all LSS scopes.
  • Manage daily coordination with the GC, subcontractors, and vendors on LSS progress, issues, and inspections.
  • Lead quality control checks and ensure timely closeout of punch-list items.
  • Monitor schedule and budget impacts related to LSS, proactively escalating risks and developing mitigation plans.
  • Participate in client and construction coordination meetings, representing the owner's interest for LSS systems.
  • Review and approve installation drawings, submittals, and redlines for accuracy and constructability.
  • Ensure documentation, testing, and turnover packages for FA & VESDA are complete and compliant.



Requirements

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in life safety/fire protection systems construction management; data center experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC, and local code requirements for fire alarm and smoke detection.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and oversee large-scale, fast-paced projects.
  • Experience with commissioning and integrated testing of life safety systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time and travel as required.ย ย
