STGi is seeking qualified candidates for this position in connection with an active Request for Proposals (RFP).ย ย  Hiring for this role is contingent upon STGi's selection as the successful awardee.ย ย 

JOB SUMMARY:ย 

The Regionalย Environmental Consultantย provides leadership and oversight for plant operations and maintenance services across multiple long-term care facilities within an assigned region. This role ensures safe, compliant, and well-maintained environments for residents, staff, and visitors while supporting facility maintenance teams and aligning operations with regulatory and organizational standards. ย Travel is required and is extensive throughout assigned region.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:ย 

Plant Operations & Life Safetyย 

  • Oversee maintenance and plant operations for multiple long-term care facilitiesย 

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS, Life Safety Code (LSC), NFPA, OSHA, and state licensure requirementsย 

  • Support Life Safety Code surveys, fire inspections, and environmental audits; lead corrective action plansย 

  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, generators, fire alarm, sprinkler systems)ย 

Preventive Maintenance & Safetyย 

  • Implement andย monitorย preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtimeย 

  • Ensureย timelyย completion and documentation of work ordersย 

  • Promote a culture of safety, emergency preparedness, and infection prevention within plant operationsย 

  • Support emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response activitiesย 

Leadership & Staff Developmentย 

  • Provideย direction, coaching, and support to facility Maintenance Directors and plant operations staffย 

  • Assistย with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance managementย 

  • Standardize maintenance processes and best practices across the regionย 

Capital Projects & Vendor Managementย 

  • Support capital improvement projects, renovations, and equipment replacementย 

  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure quality, safety, and cost controlย 

  • Review contracts, proposals, and service agreements related to plant operationsย 

Budgeting & Reportingย 

  • Assistย with maintenance budgets, capital planning, and expense managementย 

  • Monitor regional maintenance metrics and provide reports to regional and corporate leadershipย 

  • Identifyย opportunities for cost savings and operational efficienciesย 

Collaboration & Communicationย 

  • Partner with Administrators, Regional leadership, Infection Prevention, and Safety teamsย 

  • Serve as a regional resource for plant operations questions and problem resolutionย 

  • Communicate effectively with surveyors, inspectors, vendors, and internal stakeholdersย
