**Overview**

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals for our Day Program. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with diverse needs, including those with Intellectual, and Developmental disabilities (IDD). If you are passionate about providing care and support to others, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Why just punch a clock when you can make a difference in someone’s life? This job is for you if you like Arts and Crafts and enjoy assisting individuals with IDD with personal care, toileting, changing, feeding, and teaching them basic life skills.

Schedule: M-F 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, Weekends off

Wage: $17.51/hour

**Responsibilities**

- Provide direct care and support to individuals with IDD

- Assist with classroom activities, basic life skills, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and participate in community outings.

- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients at all times

- Uphold clients rights and promote independence

- Engage clients in social activities and teach basic life skills

- Lift, pull, push, and transferring clients as required

**Qualifications**

- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

- Knowledge of clients care practices and procedures, and infection control

- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility needs

- Familiarity with first aid techniques is a plus

- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor

- Ability to follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation
