Kolk Farms Ltd. is actively seeking a qualified Beef Cattle Herdsperson to join our team!

Location: Iron Springs, Alberta

Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

  • Pen checking, identifying ill or injured animals
  • Providing necessary treatment or care to all livestock
  • Maintaining digital computer records for cattle treatments and procedures
  • Ensure cattle have access to adequate feed and water daily
  • Shipping, receiving, and vaccinating/processing cattle
  • Facility/equipment maintenance
  • Bedding/pen maintenance
  • General cattle farm duties
  • General cleaning and upkeep duties
  • Other duties as required


Skills:

  • Ability to lift 50lbs+, work outside in all weather elements, and walk in all types of terrain
  • Safe work habits
  • Ability to work in a team environment


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Experience working with Cattle

  • 11 days on, 3 days off
