What does a life insurance case manager do?

A Life Insurance Case Manager oversees the application process for life insurance policies, acting as a liaison between clients, agents, and insurance carriers. They ensure that all necessary documentation is collected, review applications for completeness, and follow up on outstanding requirements. Their role includes tracking the progress of cases, resolving any issues that arise, and facilitating communication to ensure timely policy approvals. By managing these details, they help clients smoothly secure the life insurance coverage they need.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a life insurance case manager?

To thrive as a Life Insurance Case Manager, you need a solid understanding of life insurance products, underwriting processes, and case management, typically supported by experience in insurance or a related field. Proficiency with CRM software, electronic case management systems, and industry-specific portals is often necessary. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with clients and underwriters set top performers apart. These skills are crucial for efficiently managing cases, ensuring policy accuracy, and providing excellent customer service throughout the application process.

What are some common challenges faced by life insurance case managers, and how can they be addressed?

Life Insurance Case Managers often encounter challenges such as managing multiple cases with varying deadlines, coordinating communication between agents, underwriters, and clients, and ensuring that all required documentation is accurate and complete. These challenges can be addressed by developing strong organizational skills, maintaining clear and frequent communication with all stakeholders, and staying up to date with industry regulations and company guidelines. Utilizing case management software and setting up efficient workflows can also greatly improve efficiency and reduce errors.

Job description

About The Leber Agency:

The Leber Agency, is one of the fastest growing insurance agencies in the country. Our extensive portfolio of life insurance and annuity products includes Term, Mortgage Protection, Final Expense, UL, EIUL, Disability, Critical Illness, Annuity, EIA, SPIA, LTC, and more.

Our licensed representatives are independent brokers, and with that freedom, our agents have the resources to provide clients with endless options and the ability to customize the best coverage to fit clients’ needs.

We’re looking for driven, entrepreneurially minded individuals wanting to learn, build, and inspire others while helping families live life and protect their loved ones.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Consult with potential and current clients to secure life insurance coverage based on their needs
  • Virtually meet with individuals who have requested life insurance information (no cold calling) via our proven lead system
  • Manage sales administrative tasks such as documentation, policy processing, and maintaining accurate client records
  • Attend team calls, mentorship sessions, and training (virtual or in-person)

What you’ll bring:

  • A current life insurance license and NPN
  • A strong, coachable work ethic
  • High character and integrity
  • A familiarity with CRM platforms is helpful

  • A clear path from producer to agency owner. Not a promise, a structure.
  • World class culture and leadership development

Pay:

  • 1099 contractor; commissions only
  • Full-Time Uncapped Potential: estimated $125,000–$175,000+ / first year (15–20 policies/month)

Take control of your future and launch your agent career today.

No agent’s success, earnings, or production results should be viewed as typical, average, or expected. Not all agents achieve the same or similar results, and no particular results are guaranteed. Your level of success will be determined by several factors, including the amount of work you put in, your ability to successfully follow and implement our training and sales system and engage with our lead system, and the insurance needs of the customers in the geographic areas in which you choose to work.

By submitting this form, you agree to recurring contact from Symmetry Financial Group LLC and its affiliated companies under common control and their insurance agents via text & live, automated, A.I., or prerecorded calls, including for marketing or recruiting purposes.
