Job description

*Produce structural & misc. shop drawings, anchor bolt plans

and details, erection drawings & details per AISC, AWS,

ASTM, building codes, ADA standards, contract drawings,

specifications & contract

*Misc. steel detailing - stairs, ladders, and railings

*Incorporate design changes as per returned approval

drawings or revised contract documents

*Communicate with design team as needed via email, phone

or jobsite meeting

*Ability to manage several projects at the same time

*Ensure detailing schedules are met and report anticipated

delays

*Report and share information with other Management team

members

*Notify project management of specific design changes

providing a detailed list of steel member changes

*Knowledge of basic principles of structural steel detailing

*Understanding of steel purchasing, fabrication, and erection

procedures

*Ability to read architectural and structural drawings

*Comprehension of and ability to read blueprints, welding

symbols, etc.

*Competent use of AutoCAD & Advanced Steel or SDS and Microsoft office software

*Experience with model-based design and building information

modeling

*Highly organized and committed to producing accurate and

complete work

*Good communication skills

*Minimum of 2-3 years of detailing experience preferred but will train the right self-motivated person

*Shop and/or field experience a plus
