Job description

JDI Industrial Services is the industrial maintenance division of J. Davis Inc., a family-owned organization providing construction, grading, supplemental maintenance, and industrial services to South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. With four divisions and three offices in the coastal and upstate regions of South Carolina, we are proud to offer superior services to the southeastern United States.
JDI Industrial Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. This role involves performing a wide range of electrical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks, as well as installing, testing, and maintaining manufacturing machinery, assembly equipment, and other industrial electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and the ability to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Responsibilities:
  • Installations, check-outs and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems.
  • Verification and documentation of test results and diagnosis of electrical systems
  • Installation of various forms of pipe (rigid, aluminum, IMC, EMT, PVC Duct Systems)
  • Installation of electrical controls and devices
  • Properly use High Voltage PPE
  • Properly use and maintain tools and equipment owned by J. Davis Construction
  • Ability to research NEC when necessary for projects.
Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years’ experience with industrial electrical work.
  • Basic knowledge of all electrical systems (3 phase, single phase, low voltage, control wiring systems, etc.)
  • Grounding
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, one-line drawings, cut sheets and P amp;I drawings.
  • Ability to operate electrical test equipment.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E
  • Basic understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
