Job description

Construction Project Manager – Restoration / Reconstruction

About the Company

A well-established national leader in disaster recovery and reconstruction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join its growing team. With decades of success in the industry, the company specializes in emergency response, remediation, and full-scale rebuilds for both commercial and residential properties. Projects range from complex multi-million-dollar commercial losses to high-touch residential restoration assignments.

The organization is known for responsiveness, craftsmanship, and a commitment to restoring what matters most.

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Construction Project Manager with proven experience in restoration, remediation, and reconstruction. This opportunity is ideal for a field-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings strong operational discipline, urgency, and relationship management skills to every project.

This is not a new construction role. Projects are driven by fire, water, mold, storm, and environmental losses, requiring someone who can adapt quickly, solve problems in real time, and lead confidently in the field.

You will oversee projects from start to finish while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, insurance partners, subcontractors, and internal leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of commercial and residential reconstruction projects from authorization through closeout
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, trades, and internal field teams across multiple active jobs
  • Review scopes, estimates, and Xactimate line items for accuracy, completeness, and profitability
  • Ensure jobsite documentation, safety compliance, permitting, and inspections are completed properly
  • Serve as the main liaison for property owners, facility managers, insurance carriers, TPAs, and adjusters
  • Manage scope changes, supplements, and change orders while protecting project margins
  • Provide forecasting, reporting, and performance updates to leadership
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience that drives repeat business and long-term relationships
  • Mentor junior project managers and field personnel as needed

Qualifications

  • Hands-on project management experience in restoration, remediation, and reconstruction
  • Strong commercial and residential project experience preferred
  • Ability to manage 10 to 30 active projects in a dynamic, field-based environment
  • Proficiency with Xactimate or similar estimating / project management software
  • Working knowledge of building codes, permitting, inspections, and subcontractor management
  • Experience working with insurance carriers, TPAs, and adjusters
  • Contractor’s License, IICRC certifications, OSHA 10 or 30, and Mold / EPA certifications preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills with a client-first mindset

Compensation & Tools

  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission
  • Company vehicle, fuel card, and toll tag
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • 401(k) plan
