Overview
Administrative Support & Credentialing Specialist:
Keep our operations running smoothly while supporting provider credentialing and compliance. This role combines administrative excellence with healthcare credentialing responsibilities, making it ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to facility leadership and staff.
  • Manage calendars, meetings, communications, and office operations.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
  • Maintain confidential records and databases.
  • Coordinate provider credentialing, recredentialing, and payer enrollments.
  • Verify credentials, track renewals, and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with payers, billing teams, and contracting departments to resolve credentialing and enrollment issues.
  • Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of healthcare-related experience required.
  • 1 to 3 years of healthcare credentialing experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare contracting concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong documentation, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Support managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.
  • Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all duties are completed accurately, delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
  • Attend meetings and take accurate minutes.
  • May responsible for accurate and timely physician credentialing.
  • May direct and lead the work of others.
  • May manage and coordinate administrative programs and office activities.
  • Create spreadsheets, manage databases and prepare presentations, reports and documents as needed.
  • Answer telephones and take messages or transfer calls.
  • May cover the reception desk when required.
  • Calendar management, schedule appointments, update calendars and arrange staff meetings

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
• BA/BS degree preferred.
• 1 - 3 years of healthcare related experience required.
• 1 - 3 years healthcare credentialing experience preferred.
• Basic to working knowledge of contracting concepts.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Documentation, proficiency, attention to detail, and organization skills are essential.
• Ability to multi-task is a must
