Licensed estheticians provide skincare and other cosmetology services to clients. In this role, you discuss problem areas your client may have on their skin and discuss their expectations with treatment. You may also provide hair removal services, cleanse pores, and suggest products that may improve your client's appearance. Licensed estheticians usually work in beauty salons and spas, though some work in hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Depending on where you work and the types of clients you see, you may also suggest makeup products, show clients how to apply different products on to their skin, or help patients prepare for recovery after plastic surgery.
