Promotes and nurtures the education of students by planning and tailoring courses of study, monitors assists and corrects academic efforts, provides a safe environment conducive to learning, by integrating and instilling Islamic values in the hearts of Muslim students.

Job Description / Responsibilities Include:
- Actively participates in promoting and upholding Islamic ideals and values, school policies and mission of the school.
- Is able to impart instructions for Elementary grades (K-5) and has a strong grasp of content and concepts.
- Educates students by planning a course of study according to curricular guidelines and school requirements. Develops yearly plans during orientation and engages in Collaboration throughout the year with Co-Teachers.
- Tailors course of study by developing modifications for several levels of academic ability and previous achievement. Is able to differentiate instructions and engage in student oriented teaching.
- Develops and presents lesson plans by using a variety of techniques, including lectures, projects, exhibits, field trips, audiovisual and library resources, computers, and the internet. Submits lesson plans on a weekly basis at a designated time, following the format adopted by Al-Rahmah School on www.curriculumtrak.com
- Monitors, assists, corrects, and grades student results by preparing assignments and tests for in-school preparation and homework; conducting standardized tests in accordance with district policies and state law. Uses MAP assessments to conduct informed teaching, perform diagnostics and small group instructions.
- Maintains order in the classroom by counseling students with behavioral problems; consulting with other professionals where there appears to be evidence of learning disabilities, problems of social adjustment, or child abuse.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy educational environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Intercepts deterioration in achievement by counseling students with academic difficulties; drawing on the school system's resources for additional academic assistance.
- Keeps parents informed by maintaining records of academic performance, attendance, and social acclimation; reporting on all elements of student development at parent-teacher conferences, both regularly scheduled and as needed. Is able to update grades on a weekly basis on Student Information System Renweb.
- Provide student support services by monitoring halls, study periods, and lunchroom; PE, library, technology class, standardized test proctoring and any other duty assigned by the school administration.
- Updates job knowledge by attending faculty meetings; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations, and completing assigned educational coursework by the administration.
