Job description

  • TUTORS NEEDED $22-25/hour.
  • Areas we work in: Los Angeles (especially in Long Beach, Lynwood, Southgate, Compton, 90003, 90047, etc)
  • Bilingual Spanish, Math, Science and Special Ed experience a PLUS!


WE OFFER REGULAR WEEKLY HOURS (at least 20+) AND A LARGE NUMBER OF STUDENTS!!!


REQUIRED

  • Must be able to pass a TB skin test and FBI/DOJ fingerprint clearance.
  • Must possess reliable transportation to student’s home or nearby library.
  • Must have working e-mail in order to communicate with program directors on a DAILY basis
  • Looking for tutors with any ONE of the following:
  • College students (at least jr. in standing), experience with kids
  • Bachelor’s degree and comfortable working with children
  • Certified teacher or in pursuit of teaching credentials

What You Can Expect:

  • Tutoring is one to one in the student’s home or nearby library.
  • Tutors will use our curriculum to help students K-12 in either Math or Language Arts.
  • You will be assigned students and will need to set up times that are convenient for them but work for you as well
  • Hours are usually weekdays between 2:30 and 8:00pm and on weekends
  • Hours are flexible and varied: 20 to 35 hours a week!
  • Paid Training will be conducted at 1/2 rate

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking motivated, committed individuals with a passion for teaching. They must be comfortable traveling from HOME TO HOME and working with students in a private one to one setting. These individuals must be able to work with students ages K-12 in either Math or Language Arts. Individuals whom can commit to their students and maintain a consistent schedule. Individuals must also be able to keep good track of their hours turn in paperwork on time, and meet deadlines. Tutors who are dependable, self motivated individuals with a passion for teaching.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $220.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • After school hours (around 2-8pm)
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
