Job description

Are you an energetic, service-driven Librarian? Come work at the South Columbus Public Library!

The ideal candidate will have a passion for connecting with children and families, a heart for serving underserved populations, knowledge of children's literature, and experience providing age-appropriate programming and services to children and families in a diverse community and fast-paced environment.

Applicants must have an enthusiasm for public service, strong technology skills and an aptitude tolearn new technology to enhance library services.Candidates should be responsible and dependable, and communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, and the public. Applicants must enjoy working with customers of all ages, and be available to work nights and weekends in rotation.


South Columbus Public Library is located between an elementary school and middleschool, and has a vibrant community of children, tweens, and teens, who use the library daily.

Applicants must have a Master's of Library Science from an American Library Association-accredited program, or be within 6 months of completion and currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited program.


Salary: $45,005 / year
